| 11th - 18th of November 2006 |
Four anglers graced our lake for this particular week. Although the conditions were harsh they managed to bank 20 fish out of 25 runs. The tally for the week - 6 x 40's, 5 x 30's, 5 x 20's and 4 x doubles. Jack Dean landed half of them as follows - 1 double, 23lb, 25 3/4lb, 34lb, 35lb, 40 3/4lb, 41lb, 43lb, 44lb & 45lb. A catch to die for even in the season!! |

After a break of a week with no guests, we were blessed with 7 anglers, all of them repeated visitors. Great atmosphere, everybody got on very well although there were three different parties and lots of jokes were told around the log fire. To brave even more the cold weather the catches weren't bad at all! Out of 45 runs, 41 fish were landed as follows - 4 x 40's, 17 x 30's, 12 x 20's, 7 x doubles and a catfish of 41lb. Not that it was a competition but two of our guests managed to bank 11 carp each! Kevin Jefferies caught 2 doubles, 20 1/4lb, 23lb, 26 1/2lb, 2 x 28lb, 33lb, 33 3/4lb, 34 1/4lb & 39lb. Who said the winter fishing is not as good as the season's one? Here is the proof. Squirt Snook managed to put on the bank 1 double, 27lb, 29 1/4lb, 30 1/4lb, 30 1/4lb common, 31lb, 2 x 32 1/2lb, 41lb, 42lb and 45lb. Well done to all of them! |

Still nice weather and this time four anglers on the big lake for four days. We've also had two guests, John and Richard Snape, father and son, fishing the small lake (as a package with the chalet). After having their fair share of fish, 120 carp between two of them, on Friday, as a reward, they went fishing on the big lake, for a few hours, with Ben and John. Richard didn't have to wait long and a 29lb common, a 38 1/4lb and then followed by a stunning 47lb graced his net; only a 23lb for John. The fish list for the week- 34 carp landed - 6 x 40's, 6 x 30's, 19 x 20's & 3 x doubles. |

Another busy week with some of our guests fishing just for a few days and others all week. A total of 80 fish was landed, 11 of them by John and Ben. The tally for the week was - 10 x 40's, 39 x 30's, 28 x 20's, 2 x doubles & a small catfish. Alick Radcliffe had the best catch of the week, 14 carp as follows – 21 3/4lb, 25 3/4lb, 27lb, 2 x 27 1/2lb, 31lb, 31 1/4lb, 34lb, 34 3/4lb, 2 x 35lb, 36lb, 41 3/4lb & 42 1/4lb. |

The second week in October the weather starts to be cooler especially during nights but who cares when there are fish to be caught! Our guests have come full of expectations, three of them repeated customers. Between four of them - 31 fish on the bank as follows: 7 x 40's, 10 x 30's, 13 x 20's and a catfish of 44lb. Nick Parkinson, on his fourth visit to our lake, caught 15 of those fish. James Piesse, on his first encounter with the carp, with Ben's help and tuition, managed to land 4 fish. And of course, Ben and John had to come up with a good result too and they added another 10 carp to those caught by our guests! |

First week in October and already the days are shorter and the nights are drawing in quicker... but the fishing is still gooood! 4 people managed to bank no less than 89 fish, 15 of those over 40lb! Excellent result and happy anglers. The tally for the week - 15 x 40's, 34 x 30's, 32 x 20's, 7 doubles and a catfish of 37lb. Dave Hart was the happy guest to see 30 fish gracing his net. At the end of September, nine anglers on the lake, another great weeks fishing! A total of 88 fish landed out of 101 runs and the final figures were... 8 x 40's, 25 x 30's, 46 x 20's, 6 doubles and 3 catfish - 20lb, 36lb & 42lb. The top rod was Dale Sankey with a list of 28 fish as follows: 20lb, 22lb, 2 x 22 1/2lb, 2 x 23 1/2lb, 3 x 24 3/4lb, 27 3/4lb, 28 3/4lb, 29lb, 29 1/4lb, 30 1/4lb, 31 1/2lb, 33lb, 33 1/4lb common, 35lb, 38 1/4lb, 39lb, 39 1/2lb, 2 x 40lb, 41 3/4lb, 42 3/4lb, 43lb, 43 1/2lb & 36lb catfish. You could do the same! |

A busy week again, this time 8 anglers on the big lake. A total of 95 fish were landed, carp - 12 x 40's, 38 x 30's, 35 x 20's, 3 doubles and 7 catfish - 30lb, 34lb, 38lb, 2 x 38 1/2lb, 42lb and 58 1/2lb!! Ray Ireland had a very good week, 22 carp caught - 2 x 21lb, 22 1/2lb, 24lb, 25lb common, 25 1/2lb, 28 1/4lb, 29lb leather, 29 1/4lb, 29 3/4lb, 30 1/2lb common (photo), 31lb, 31 1/2lb, 32 1/2lb, 33 1/4lb, 33 1/2lb, 34lb, 38 1/2lb, 40lb, 2 x 41lb & 41 1/2lb. He was followed by Jamie with 20 fish, 6 of them being catfish! |

The beginning of September saw other people happy with their catch. Peter and Steve came full of hopes but the tally for the week was above all their expectations! Out of 60 runs, 54 fish were landed, Ben and John put 10 carp on the bank but our guests managed a total of 44 fish between two of them. Peter Stone had the best out of it with no less than 27 fish, 25 carp as follows - 7 doubles, 21lb, 21 1/4lb common, 22 1/4lb, 23lb, 25lb, 26 1/2lb, 28 3/4lb, 29lb, 29 1/2lb, 2 x 29 3/4lb, 30 1/4lb, 2 x 32 1/2lb, 38 1/4lb, 38 1/2lb, 2 x 43 1/4lb and two catfish 39 3/4lb & 60lb. Well done to both of them! Steve also managed 17 fish - 1 double, 20 3/4lb, 22 1/2lb, 22 3/4lb, 26 1/2lb, 2 x 26 3/4lb (one common), 29 1/2lb, 29 3/4lb common, 32 3/4lb, 33 3/4lb, 37 1/4lb, 2 x 39 1/2lb, 41 1/4lb, 41 1/2lb & 42 1/2lb. |

Beginning of September, Indian summer weather and plenty of fish on the bank again! We had a party of 10 people and between them, they managed to land successfully 109 fish as folows: 12 doubles, 44 x 20's, 37 x 30's, 12 x 40's and 4 catfish - 14lb, 30lb, 42lb & 43lb -. The angler of the week was Roland with 19 fish, followed by his son Lewis who caught 17 carp as well. Between two of them they had 2 doubles, 3 x 20 3/4lb, 22 3/4lb, 23lb, 24lb, 25lb, 2 x 25 1/4lb, 26 1/2lb common, 26 3/4lb, 27lb, 27 1/4lb, 2 x 28 1/2lb, 29lb, 2 x 30lb, 30 1/4lb, 30 1/2lb common, 31lb, 32lb, 33lb, 35 3/4lb, 36 1/2lb, 2 x 37lb, 38lb, 39 1/2lb, 2 x 40lb, 40 1/2lb, 41 3/4lb & 46 1/4lb! A total of 36 carp. |

Another great week at Etang des Royales. Weather perfect, not too cold, not too hot. 5 anglers visited us and between them they managed to bank 89 fish of a total of 106 runs. The tally for the week was - 7 doubles, 35 x 20's, 34 x 30's, 10 x 40's and three catfish - 43lb, 45lb & 54lb. Sean Pepperall was the lucky angler to catch 40 fish, 39 carp - 4 doubles, 2 x 22lb, 22 1/2lb, 23lb, 3 x 24lb, 3 x 24 1/2lb, 2 x 25lb, 2 x 26lb, 2 x 26 1/2lb, 2 x 27lb, 28lb, 29lb, 29 1/2lb, 31lb, 2 x 32lb, 32 1/4lb, 32 1/2lb, 2 x 33lb, 34 1/2lb, 36 1/2lb, 2 x 41lb, 2 x 43lb, 45 1/2lb - and a catfish of 54lb! |

Three anglers managed to bank 54 fish as follows: 5 x 40's, 21 x 30's, 21 x 20's, 5 doubles and 2 catfish, one of them being 41lb. Bobby Grieve had the best catch of the week, a total of 20 fish - 21lb, 2 x 23lb, 25lb, 26lb, 27lb, 3 x 28lb, 30lb, 2 x 32lb, 33lb, 34lb, 2 x 36lb, 37 1/2lb, 40lb, 41lb and a catfish of 41lb. Again 5 anglers fished our big lake and they had 31 fish between them, 2 x 40's, 10 x 30's, 14 x 20's and 5 doubles. This time two of our guests had the same number of fish. John Pennington - 1 double, 23lb, 24lb, 2 x 28lb, 31 1/2lb, 36lb, 39 1/4lb and 42lb. Matt Wilde, also 9 carp, 20lb, 21 1/2lb, 24lb, 25lb, 28lb, 29lb common, 31lb, 35lb common and 47lb. Well done to both of them! John Hofgartner managed 7 fish as well. |

Just two people fishing the lake, one of them for three days. They landed 23 fish between two of them. Fish list for the week - 4 x 40's, 8 x 30's, 4 x 20's, 5 doubles and two catfish, 31lb and 32lb. They had two forties each, 2 x 41lb, 43 3/4lb & 46lb. The fifth 40lb of the week was landed by John Hofgartner in the shape of a stunning 45lb! |

We started the season mid April and for the first week it was a brilliant result. 6 guests on the lake managed to have 47 runs, landing 35 of them. The tally for the week: 2 x 40's - 41 3/4lb & 43lb, 11 x 30's, 19 x 20's and 3 x doubles.
